Fred McDowell Killed in Crash Near Medical Lake WA Accident

Struck at Salnave Road Intersection

A tragic accident occurred on June 20 near Medical Lake, Washington, when 91-year-old Fred McDowell was killed in a suspected DUI crash around 11:30 a.m. A 38-year-old woman allegedly ran a stop sign at the I-90 off-ramp onto Salnave Road and struck McDowell’s westbound car. His vehicle hit a light pole, rolled, and landed in a ditch. He died at the scene. Authorities are investigating.
