Edward Hardy was in a Toyota 4Runner along U.S. Highway 231 when the vehicle was struck by a 2000 GMC 1500 pickup truck. The impact caused the Toyota to collide head-on with a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado, and then a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup truck. Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene.
