Colette Smith lost her life when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver and a FedEx truck along Interstate 294. She was first hit by a white passenger car and then by a FedEx truck. The driver of the white vehicle fled from the scene. Smith was found on the side of the road. She succumbed to injuries from the crash.
