Tragic accident that occurred on February 29 in Gainesville, Florida. Clovis McNair was arrested when he struck a man riding an electric scooter on 300 Southwest 34th Street, and fled the scene. Investigators said that McNair fled the scene with the scooter dragged under his car. Witnesses provided a description of McNair’s vehicle with a possible license plate number, allowing officers to locate McNair. He was arrested at his home.
