Cecilia Armesto Killed In Queens, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on February 23rd in Queens, New York. Cecilia Armesto lost her life when she was struck by a FedEx tractor-trailer at Union Turnpike and 193rd Street. Officers responding from the 107th Precinct found Armesto lying in the roadway unconscious. She was transported by EMS to Queens General Hospital in Jamaica where she tragically later died. The truck driver remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad continues to investigate the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
