The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on October 18 in Malibu, California. Asha Weir was one of four Pepperdine University seniors who were killed when they were hit by a vehicle along the Pacific Coast Highway. Three vehicles were standing outside a vehicle when the 22-year-old driver entered a curve near the site and slammed his car into the parked vehicles and the women. All four students died in the crash, and the driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. The notorious stretch of road where the crash occurred is known to locals as "Dead Man's Curve." The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
