Elderly Woman Dies in Suspected Drunk Driving Crash

A tragic accident occurred on May 27 in Madera County, California, when 76-year-old Valerie McCarty was killed in a suspected DUI crash. Around 4 p.m., a white Chevy truck lost control on State Highway 41 near Van Teri Road, clipping a black SUV before crashing head-on into a Ford Bronco. One of them, Kirk McCarty, was also killed in the crash. The suspect, driving over 100 mph, was arrested. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
