Vietnam War veteran fatally struck while crossing intersection

A tragic accident occurred on October 5 in Charlotte, North Carolina, when 76-year-old Hanh Hoang was struck by a vehicle while crossing Shopton Road West and Caden Road in his motorized wheelchair. The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m., and Hoang, a Vietnam War veteran, died from his injuries. The driver stayed at the scene, and police are investigating.
