According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved five tractor-trailers, two pickup trucks, a passenger car, and five other unspecified vehicles. A Texas man driving a Volvo rear-ended another Volvo driven by a Texas man. The initial collision triggered a chain-reaction crash with 11 other vehicles.
