71-Year-Old Richard Piper Killed in Motley County, TX Accident

Two-Vehicle Collision on Texas 70 Near FM 864

A tragic accident occurred on January 11 in Motley County, Texas, when 71-year-old Richard Piper of Roaring Springs was killed after his Chevrolet S-10 pickup was struck from behind on Texas 70 around 8:40 p.m. Piper was pronounced dead at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. The 25-year-old Lexus driver was seriously injured. Authorities continue to investigate the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
