7-Year-Old Kamari Hughes Killed In Brooklyn, NY Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 26 in Brooklyn, New York. 7-year-old Kamari Hughes was struck and killed by a New York Police Department (NYPD) tow truck at Myrtle and North Portland avenues while he was on his way to school. The NYPD truck was making a right turn onto North Portland when it hit the child, who was on a scooter. Sadly, Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation and the NYPD is interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance videos in the area. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
