69-Year-Old John Lassey Arrested in Spokane, WA Accident

Suspected drunk driver hits 6-year-old on sidewalk

A tragic accident occurred on August 5 in Spokane, Washington, when 69-year-old John Lassey allegedly struck a 6-year-old child with his Jeep Gladiator on a sidewalk near North Calvin Road. The incident happened just before 8 p.m. The child was seriously injured and hospitalized. Lassey appeared impaired and admitted to drinking. He was arrested and charged with vehicular assault.
