Victim found unresponsive in parking lot near Super Donuts

A tragic accident occurred on October 11 in Smithville, Texas, when 69-year-old Jimmie Lee Jones was struck in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash. According to Smithville police, Jones was found unresponsive around 7:34 p.m. in the parking lot of Super Donuts on Loop 230. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away.
