68-Year-Old Lurlene Smith Injured In Palmdale, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

 Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, May 6 at about 3:50 AM in Palmdale, California. 68-year-old Lurlene Smith was seriously injured when she was involved in a crash caused by an SUV that veered into oncoming traffic on 50th St., East. 52-year-old Michael Reinert was operating a Chevy suburban, when he veered into the northbound lane and sideswiped Smith’s Chevy Malibu. The force of the collision sent the Malibu into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a Toyota Yaris. Smith, and two of her passengers, were seriously injured in the wreck. One passenger in the Malibu tragically died. The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
