68-Year-Old James Curtis Henry Killed In Nacogdoches, TX Accident

Pedestrian struck on State Highway 21

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, February 3rd in Nacogdoches, Texas. 68-year-old James Curtis Henry was tragically struck and killed while trying to help a disabled vehicle on State Highway 21. Henry was helping with a 2014 Jeep SUV that was disabled in the westbound lane when he was hit by a car operated by a 20-year-old man. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the car struck Henry while taking evasive action to avoid striking the disabled vehicle. Henry was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
