Pedestrian fatally struck in hit-and-run on Beechnut Drive

A tragic accident occurred on February 28 in Houston, Texas, when 67-year-old Martha Carrillo was fatally struck by a silver or gray truck that ran a red light on Beechnut Drive. The hit-and-run occurred around 8:50 p.m. Carrillo was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver fled and remains unidentified. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit or Crime Stoppers.We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
