64-Year-Old Mac Smith Killed In Palmdale, CA AccidentThe crash remains under investigation Posted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This Story Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, May 6 at about 3:50 AM in Palmdale, California. 64-year-old Mac Smith was tragically killed when the vehicle he was a passenger in was involved in a crash caused by an SUV that veered into oncoming traffic on 50th St., East. 52-year-old Michael Reinert was operating a Chevy suburban, when he veered into the northbound lane and sideswiped Lurlene Smith’s Chevy Malibu. The force of the collision sent the Malibu into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a Toyota Yaris. Smith, a passenger in the Malibu, tragically died in the collision. The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
