62-Year-Old Donald Harris Arrested In Mounds View, MN Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday, May 25 in Mounds View, Minnesota. 62-year-old Donald Harris has been arrested and faces charges after he struck and killed a woman and the 8200 block of Long Lake Road. Witnesses reported that they saw a dark colored SUV passing in a no passing zone traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then struck the victim who was doing yard work outside of her home. After striking the victim witnesses  reported that the suspect didn't slow down. The vehicle eventually crashed into a ditch on County Road 10 and Cottage Wood Terrace. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Officers reported that evidence was found embedded in the windshield, as well as two small alcohol bottles in the vehicle.
