53-Year-Old Jose Guzman Arrested In Eureka, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on March 4 in Eureka, California. 53-year-old Jose Guzman Jimenez was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian near 5th and K Streets. He was visibly injured and had possibly been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian succumbed to injuries at St. Joseph Hospital. The unoccupied vehicle, a white Lincoln MKX, was located and an interview was conducted with the owner, Jose Guzman Jimenez, which revealed he was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision. Jimenez was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Jail for a violation of felony hit and run involving a death. The incident remains under investigation.
