Man killed in motorized shopping cart crash

A tragic accident occurred on August 19 in San Bernardino County, California, when 53-year-old Joe Dominguez II of Apple Valley was struck while riding a motorized shopping cart. Authorities reported the incident happened at about 8:40 p.m. on Dale Evans Parkway when a 2002 Mazda pickup, driven by a 49-year-old Barstow man, hit Dominguez from behind. He was taken to a hospital but sadly died. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
