51-Year-Old Jim Martin Injured in Mesquite, TX Accident

Struck by Reckless Driver During Police Chase

A serious accident occurred on May 24 in Mesquite, Texas, when cyclist Jim Martin was struck by a Dodge Charger during a police chase. The driver, 33-year-old Justin Johnson, hit Martin from behind at Gus Thomasson Road and Interstate 30 frontage road, throwing him onto the car hood and causing multiple injuries, including a broken arm.
