Payne, Alabama. 50-year-old Pedro Cazares-Castaneda was struck and killed by a vehicle on Alabama Highway 176 just south of Fort Payne. He was in the roadway when a gray SUV hit him. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. No information was available about the motorist who fled the scene of the crash, which the ALEA officials are investigating.
