5-Month-Old Ulysses Romero Killed In Harris, TX Accident

Truck driver charged with manslaughter and other charges

Tragic accident that occurred on February 13th in Harris, Texas. 5-month old Ulysses Romero lost his life when a family sedan was struck from behind by a tow truck at West Little York and Cunningham roads. Melvin Romero, his wife, and their baby boy were in a vehicle stopped for a red light when a Tow truck, hauling another vehicle for Classic Towing LLC, came upon the scene and slammed into the rear of the family's sedan. The impact propelled the truck and both cars into a ditch. Esbeidy and Ulysses were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital. The infant tragically later died. The truck driver was identified as Jose Luna and was charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. Luna reportedly was charged in 2000 with the sexual assault of a child and sentenced to five years. In 2011, he spent six months in jail for a drug-related charge.
