A tragic accident occurred on July 20 in South Gate, California, when 48-year-old Carlos Reyes was fatally struck by a vehicle at Willow Place and Long Beach Boulevard around 1:36 a.m. The driver fled the scene and remains unidentified. Reyes died from blunt traumatic injuries, according to the medical examiner. Authorities continue to investigate. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
