Driver charged after striking pedestrians, injuring four in Spring Branch

A tragic accident occurred on March 1 in Houston, Texas, when 47-year-old Jose Agustin Menjivar drove onto a sidewalk near Pitner Pocket Park and Hollister Road, striking a food vendor stand, injuring four pedestrians, and crashing into a parked vehicle around 8 p.m. Menjivar admitted consuming five 25-ounce beers before the crash and was arrested on four counts of intoxication assault. Authorities continue to investigate.We send our thoughts and prayers to the injured victims.
