46-Year-Old John David Bell Killed In Galveston, TX Accident

DUI wreck at 53rd Street

Tragic accident that occurred on August 14th in Galveston, Texas. 46-year-old John David Bell was tragically struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding a scooter. The driver of a Nissan Altima ran a stop sign and hit him at at the intersection of 53rd Street and Avenue U. Authorities said that Bell’s scooter was found 50 feet away from the crash site. Bell was rushed to UTMB Health, where he later died. The driver of the Nissan, 35-year-old Yordany Ferrer, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
