45-Year-Old Charles Ortega Killed in Grimes County, TX Accident

Tractor-trailer crossed median and struck SUV on Highway 6

A tragic accident occurred on January 22 in Grimes County, Texas, when 45-year-old Charles Ortega of Hempstead was killed after a northbound tractor-trailer crossed the median and struck his southbound SUV on Highway 6. Ortega, along with a 46-year-old front-seat passenger and a 21-year-old back-seat passenger, also from Hempstead, died in the collision. The tractor-trailer driver and passenger sustained minor injuries. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
