Struck by DUI driver on I-215 near construction zone

A tragic accident occurred on July 20 in Murrieta, California, when Gladys Maeda, 44, was struck and killed after exiting her vehicle. The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on I-215 near Murrieta Hot Springs Road. She was hit by a Honda Accord after inspecting damage from an earlier crash. The driver was later arrested for DUI and hit-and-run. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
