The driver of the vehicle failed to travel in a single lane, resulting in the car going into the south ditch where it struck a concrete culvert. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the wreck. Sadly, Patterson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are actively pursuing the driver.
