42-Year-Old Martires Peña Killed In Yonkers, NY AccidentDUI crash on Stanley AvenuePosted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Saturday, September 4 at around 1:30 AM in Yonkers, New York. 42-year-old Martires Peña was tragically killed in a one vehicle accident that occured on Stanley Avenue. The victim was hanging onto the hood of a Subaru Forester driven by 43-year-old at Mercedes Vargas, when she sped away at a high rate of speed. Mr. Peña fell from the hood of the vehicle as it crossed Ludlow Street and crashed through a gate before striking a concrete barrier and wall. Mr. Peña was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Vargas has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
