42-Year-Old Lakethia Montgomery Killed in Houston, TX Accident

Suspected drunken driver runs red light and strikes grandmother’s sedan

A tragic accident occurred on February 24 in Houston, TX, when 42-year-old Lakethia Montgomery was killed after a suspected drunken driver, Manuel Neri Mendoza, ran a red light at Clay Road and the Sam Houston Tollway and struck her sedan. Montgomery died at the scene while her 3-year-old grandson in the back seat was unharmed. Mendoza, with prior DWI convictions, is facing murder charges.
