40-Year-Old Morgan Wright Dies in Lufkin, TX Accident

Speech pathologist and mother of two killed in police chase crash

A tragic accident on September 29 in Lufkin took the life of 40-year-old Morgan Wright. Police said a 16-year-old boy driving a stolen truck led officers on a chase from Lufkin Mall before crashing into Wright’s Ford Explorer at Frank and Third Streets. Wright was airlifted to a hospital but later died. The teen was arrested, with charges pending. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
