39-Year-Old Jasmine Martinez Killed in Long Beach, CA Accident

Suspect arrested shortly after crash

A tragic accident occurred on September 12 in Long Beach, California, when 39-year-old Jasmine Martinez was struck in a crosswalk near Long Beach Boulevard and 68th Street. Police said a Chevrolet Camaro hit her around 12:16 p.m. and fled the scene. Martinez was rushed to a hospital, where she later died. Officers arrested the suspect within half an hour of the crash.
