A tragic accident occurred on May 7 in Lufkin, Texas, when 37-year-old Jose Salazar Jr. was injured in a collision at State Highway 103 and Stubblefield Drive. Authorities said a Hyundai Sonata failed to yield while turning left and struck his GMC Sierra pickup truck. Salazar was transported to St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Lufkin for treatment. The investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
