36-Year-Old Rubin Chavez Jr. Killed In El Paso, TX Accident

DUI crash on Gateway Boulevard E. and Lomaland Drive

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, May 21 at around 9:30 PM in El Paso, Texas. 36-year-old Rubin Chavez Junior was tragically killed in a multivehicle crash at the intersection of Gateway Boulevard east and Lomaland Drive. He was struck by a 26-year-old man who has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance. Mr. Chavez was stopped at a red light when he was struck by a Kia Forte. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
