SUV Driver Charged After Deadly South Pleasant Valley Crash

A tragic accident occurred on June 12 in Austin, Texas, when 34-year-old Eliasib Cortes Vargas was killed after his motorcycle was struck by an SUV. The collision happened around 9:19 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Pleasant Valley Road. Vargas was taken to a nearby hospital, where he sadly died. The SUV’s driver, 54-year-old Thomas Ajanel Chan, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Additional charges may follow. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
