A tragic accident occurred on May 17 in Young County, Texas, when a head-on collision injured two family members. Among the victims was 34-year-old Alex Cortez, who was seriously hurt. The crash happened when a 27-year-old motorcyclist lost control and entered the southbound lane, colliding with the Chevrolet Silverado carrying the Cortezes near a curve on Farm-to-Market Road 209. Both Alex and Alex Cortez were taken to Graham Regional Medical Center for treatment. The other injured family member, 31-year-old Shalynn Cortez, also suffered injuries in the crash.
