32-Year-Old Victor Perez Cortez Arrested After Everett, WA Accident

Passenger killed after pickup crashes into building

A tragic accident occurred on August 23 in Everett, Washington, when 32-year-old Victor Perez Cortez was arrested following a police chase that ended in a fatal crash. Around 2:15 a.m., troopers attempted a DUI stop near Evergreen Way, but Cortez fled northbound. After about four miles, his pickup struck a building on Rucker Avenue. A passenger died from injuries sustained. Cortez faces vehicular homicide charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
