31-Year-Old Ashley Beams Involved In Toms River, NJ Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on February 8th in Toms River, New Jersey. 31-year-old Ashley Beams was involved in a  pedestrian accident that left one person dead. A pedestrian, who authorities say was retrieving something from his vehicle,  was struck by another car and killed at the intersection of Bay Avenue and Twin Oaks Drive.  Initial reports suggest a vehicle driven by Beams failed to maintain her lane, causing the car to travel in the shoulder. The vehicle eventually crashed into the pedestrian, resulting in his death at the scene. Toms River Traffic Safety Officer and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office are now leading the investigation. Charges are pending at this time. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
