A tragic accident occurred on April 28 in Beaumont, Texas, when 29-year-old Damaarkus Baines was struck by a vehicle while crossing near Calder Avenue on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Authorities said the driver remained at the scene. Baines died from his injuries at the site. The investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
