27-Year-Old Yuvinka Ponce Killed in Cathedral City, CA Accident

Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Dinah Shore Drive

A tragic accident occurred on May 24 in Cathedral City, California, when 27-year-old Yuvinka Ponce was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver on Dinah Shore Drive near Via Echo around 8:45 p.m. Ponce died at the scene from her injuries. The 35-year-old driver was arrested and booked for DUI causing serious bodily injury. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
