27-Year-Old Eloy Diaz Arrested in Modesto, CA Accident

Charged after allegedly striking and killing woman on Yosemite Boulevard

A tragic accident occurred on June 22 in Modesto, California, when a female pedestrian was fatally struck near Yosemite Boulevard and Severin Avenue. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Authorities arrested 27-year-old Eloy Sergio Diaz, who allegedly fled the scene after hitting the victim with his Toyota. The woman later died at the hospital. Diaz faces charges including DUI, hit-and-run, and manslaughter. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
