A tragic accident occurred on August 4 near Ephrata, Washington, when Silvino Ortega-Cruz, 26, was injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 283. The collision happened after an 18-year-old driver ran a stop sign and struck Ortega-Cruz’s Toyota Camry. Both drivers were transported to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee.
