Courtney Cortez, 25, was one of the victims, tragically succumbing to her injuries at the scene. Courtney was riding her motorcycle along State Highway 27 near Bluff Creek Road North when they were hit head-on by a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Her family members, Daniel Cortez, 57, and Cody Cortez, 34, were also killed in the crash. The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man, has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
