24-Year-Old Robert Altieri Involved In Staten Island, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, December 17th in Staten Island, New York. 24-year-old Robert Altieri was killed, and his passenger seriously injured, in a one-vehicle accident on Richmond Avenue near Bartlett Avenue. Mr. Altieri was speeding in a Ford Taurus when it struck a utility pole in front of 3687 Richmond Avenue, near Bartlett Avenue. His passenger, described only as a 24-year-old, suffered serious injuries. The New York Police Department's Highway District Collision Investigation Squad said that Mr. Altieri was speeding and “failed to properly navigate the roadway” when his vehicle struck the pole.
