23-Year-Old Ella McCoy Injured In Columbus, Ohio Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, March 7 at around 3:48 PM in Columbus, Ohio. 23-year-old Ella McCoy was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding her bicycle at West Broad Street and S. Wayne Ave. The driver that failed to yield to the bicyclist fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The young woman was then hit by a second driver while still on the ground and was drug by the suspect, who attempted to put his vehicle in reverse. Initial reports indicate that the driver, who was holding a beer bottle, got back into his car and fled the scene. McCoy was rushed to Grant Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The Columbus Police Department is actively searching for the two hit-and-run drivers. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
