22-Year-Old Jacob Askew Killed in Parmer County, TX Accident

Crash on U.S. 70 Near Farwell

A tragic accident occurred on November 11 in Parmer County, Texas, when 22-year-old Jacob Askew was struck head-on by an eastbound pickup traveling in the wrong lane on U.S. 70. Askew attempted to steer right but could not avoid the collision. He was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock, where he died the next day. Askew was an airman with the 27th Special Operations Wing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
