20-Year-Old Paola Arredondo Killed in Parkland, WA Accident

Struck at Ainsworth Avenue

A tragic accident occurred on October 15 in Parkland, Washington, when 20-year-old Paola Arredondo was killed during a police chase. Around 9:30 a.m., 47-year-old Donald Wayne Rownan ran a red light at Ainsworth Avenue in a Chrysler 300, striking Arredondo's silver Toyota Corolla. She was pronounced dead at the scene en route to Pacific Lutheran University. Rownan, suspected of drug use, was arrested for vehicular homicide. Authorities are investigating.
