19-Year-Old Melissa Carmichael Injured In Callaway, MO Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on March 24 in Callaway, Missouri. 19-year-old Melissa Carmichael was injured along U.S. Highway 63 at County Road 399 when a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer carrying five people traveled off the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons. The driver then overcorrected, skidded across the road, struck a guardrail, and overturned. The Trailblazer ultimately came to a stop in the median. Three passengers, one of whom was identified as Melissa Carmichael, were taken to the University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. An investigation into the accident remains underway.
