The pursuit began in Chinatown after authorities tried pulling over a black Ford Focus with the suspect inside. As the trooper approached the vehicle, the Focus sped off, throwing a loaded AR-15 rifle out of the car. Authorities reported that the suspect went against traffic on Stanislaus Street, slamming into Pimental’s BMW and fleeing the scene. Authorities are actively pursuing the suspect. The teen was tragically killed in the wreck.
